A large 3-metre media cabinet featuring a solid oak top and curved details, designed and fitted for a home in Botesdale.
The Client’s Vision
Our client was looking for a substantial, high-end media cabinet to become the centerpiece of their living room. The unit needed to provide a stylish home for their television and media devices, offering a combination of concealed storage and open shelving. Despite its large size, it was important that the design felt elegant and sophisticated, not bulky.
Our Handcrafted Joinery Solution
We designed and built this impressive 3-metre media cabinet to be a beautiful and functional focal point. The layout offers generous cupboard space, perfect for hiding cables and equipment, while the open shelving is ideal for display. The cabinet doors are fitted with soft-close hinges for a touch of quiet luxury.
To elevate the design, we integrated LED light strips to cast a warm, ambient glow. The unit’s outer edges were softened with gracefully curved end panels and trims, a bespoke detail that adds a sense of refinement and showcases a high level of craftsmanship.
Premium Materials and Finishing Touches
This cabinet combines beautiful materials for a timeless look. The unit is crowned with a durable, solid oak top that adds natural texture and warmth. The base carcasses and shelves are made from a high-quality oak veneer for stability. The main body of the unit was then professionally spray-finished in-house in ‘Slipper Satin’ by Farrow & Ball. This classic, chalky off-white contrasts beautifully with the oak top and gives the entire piece a light, airy feel.
