Our client in Ipswich was looking for a bespoke furniture piece for their dining room that would serve as both a practical storage solution and a beautiful display area. The unit needed to provide ample shelving space for the family’s books and cherished photos, with enclosed cabinets below for discreet storage, creating a functional and personal centerpiece for the room.

The Perkins & Co team designed and built a tailored dining room unit that perfectly fits the client’s space and aesthetic. We created classic Shaker-style doors for the base units, a timeless design that complements any interior. Above, generous open shelving provides the desired display space, balancing functionality with visual appeal.

Every element was constructed in our Hinderclay workshop before being professionally spray-finished to ensure a flawless and durable surface, resulting in a truly high-end piece of custom furniture.

The base units were constructed from high-quality oak veneer, providing stability and a premium foundation. The defining feature of this project is its stunning colour. The entire unit was professionally spray-finished in ‘Bancha’ by Farrow & Ball, a sophisticated olive green that adds a sense of calm and elegance to the dining space. This meticulous finish elevates the piece from simple storage to a statement of style.
