Kitchen corner bench

Kitchen corner bench seat designed, made and fitted for a customer in Elmswell, Suffolk.

About The Project

A bespoke corner bench seat with integrated storage, designed and fitted to maximise space in a kitchen in Elmswell.

The Client’s Vision

Our client in Elmswell wanted to transform an underused corner of their kitchen into a functional and inviting space. The goal was to create comfortable, built-in banquette seating for their dining area while simultaneously gaining valuable hidden storage. They also wished to personally paint the unit to perfectly match their kitchen décor.

Our Handcrafted Joinery Solution

We designed and built a custom L-shaped bench that fits the corner perfectly, turning a previously wasted space into a cosy nook. The design incorporates practical, easy-to-operate lift-up seats, revealing deep storage compartments within the base, ideal for kitchen essentials.

This project was a collaboration with our client. To accommodate their request to DIY the final colour, we delivered and professionally fitted the bench seat with a high-quality, durable primer finish. This provides the perfect blank canvas, ready for them to apply their chosen paint.

Premium Materials and Finishing Touches

The internal carcasses are constructed from a hard-wearing oak-effect material, providing a clean and durable finish for the storage areas. The exterior was meticulously prepared and primed by our team, ensuring a smooth and professional base that will guarantee a fantastic result for the client’s own painting work. This flexible approach ensures the final piece is a perfect match for their home and vision.
