The Client’s Vision

Our client in Ovington had a large, underutilised area in their home that they wanted to transform into a practical and beautiful storage space. The challenge was to create a substantial piece of furniture that would feel fully integrated and elegant, rather than bulky, providing maximum storage without overwhelming the room.

Our Handcrafted Joinery Solution

To meet this brief, we designed and built this stunning, large-scale cabinet, tailored to the exact dimensions of the space. A clever design feature is the single, oversized door which has been expertly crafted to look like a perfectly symmetrical pair. This innovative approach allows for easy, unobstructed access to the vast interior while maintaining a classic, balanced appearance.

The cabinet is further distinguished by its gracefully curved cornice and matching curved skirting. These details soften the lines of the large piece and demonstrate a high level of craftsmanship, elevating it into a true statement of bespoke joinery.

Premium Materials and Finishing Touches

Constructed from premium, furniture-grade materials, this cabinet is built for longevity. The entire piece was then professionally spray-finished in ‘Green Smoke’ by Farrow & Ball. This timeless, smoky green-blue brings a sense of tranquility and sophistication to the room. The flawless, spray-applied finish provides a durable surface and a depth of colour that enhances the cabinet’s elegant design.
